"EDHEC for Business" Strategy

EDHEC Business School's goal is to train current and future executives via teaching and research programmes geared to the needs of the economy and businesses. This objective is enshrined in our "EDHEC for Business" strategy.

Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School
This original strategy introduced several years ago has strengthened EDHEC's positioning. Recognition of the EDHEC brand is now underpinned by our Research for Business strategy, our focus on training talent with the skills to develop businesses, as well as by our internationalisation drive, this being visible in the widespread origins of our teaching faculty members and in the opening of two Executive Campuses in London and Singapore.

Research for Business

Research is where the institution creates value and deepens the knowledge that enhances the course content and managerial practices of tomorrow. The number of academic articles published in the media by EDHEC’s teaching faculty has grown considerably in recent years. EDHEC Business School’s research expertise is widely recognised by the international academic community. EDHEC now ranks 22nd in the SSRN ranking of Top International Business Schools (up 11 places relative to 2010) and holds the N°2 spot in France (after INSEAD). By systematically communicating research work in the media, EDHEC professors and researchers enhance the visibility of our research with both the business world and civil society, thus considerably increasing its utility. For several years now, EDHEC has been the continental European business school most frequently cited for its research by the English-speaking press (Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, or Business Weekly).

Proudly International

SingaporeInternationalism is one of the pillars of EDHEC Business School's strategy. We have continued to expand internationally in 2010, particularly by strengthening our presence in Europe and Asia via the opening of two Executive Campuses in London and Singapore. Further initiatives include the recruitment of professors from prestigious foreign universities, the creation of international education tracks and programmes, and the dissemination of our research work in the world's leading economic publications. All in all, no less than 75 nationalities are currently represented on EDHEC Campuses while 85% of our corporate funding comes from international corporations. During 2009-2010, we organised executive education and research seminars in 28 international economic capitals. Lastly, EDHEC is one of the few among the world's select business schools to have been awarded the three international accreditations, attesting to the quality of our education and training, our teaching faculty and the methods we employ.
